San Francisco General Hospital
Dr. Richard Fine - who preferred to go by Dick - practiced medicine at San Francisco General Hospital for 40 years. After graduating from Cornell's Medical College in 1966, Dick Fine moved to San Francisco, California where he completed a two-year residency at UCSF before his long-term career at San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH).
San Francisco General Hospital was like a second home for Dr. Fine. All patients were treated with the equal level of care and staff were like family to Dr. Fine. The film, The Biker with a Moral Compass, is a tribute to Dr. Fine and his SFGH career. It was produced by his protege, physician Dean Schillinger and shows the relationship Dr. Fine had with SFGH and the impact he had on his fellow staff and workplace.
